Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil promises a J-Lo glow. I’m going to hold ’em to that.
The Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil launch has been rolling out in Cape Town over a four day period. That’s a biggie for a product which isn’t even on the shelves yet so it has to be goodie. Right?
I attended the Wembley Square launch last night were we got up close and personal with the product. Phyto (which means ‘plant‘) Replenish Oil is a lightweight facial oil which is quickly absorbed into the skin. It can be used used under a moisturiser, added to a moisturiser or mixed with a foundation.
The promise list to deliver a dewy glow is impressive. It:
* Hydrates the skin; an essential lipid blend that includes Orchid Flower and Chia Seed Oil smoothes visible dehydration lines and locks in critical moisture.
* Shields against oxidants; Sunflower, Rice Bran and Rosemary extracts create a luminous antioxidant shield against free radical damage.
* Strengthens lipids; Phytoactives from Camellia and Tamanu oils help restore the skin’s natural barrier.
After reading this, I now also want strong lipids.
Lipids are a fatty substance that stores energy and plays a structural role in cell membranes. The lipids in our epidermal layer (the skin we see) act as a barrier to prevent water from leaving the skin and oxidants from entering the skin. And a well moisturised, blemish-free skin looks fresh and dewy.
So that’s why I want strong lipids; to get that dewy J-Lo glow. Tim ewill tell if the oil delivers on that promise.
At the event, we were taught to give ourselves a dewy DIY facial massage. Here’s how you can too.
Dermalogica Phyto Replenish Oil (30ml, R1290) is currently only available at the Dermalogica Concept Stores. Roll out to salons and stockists commences 3 October 2016.
Thank you to Jade Allen and her team at Red Carpet Concepts for another luxuriously social evening.
